A manufacturer of varied parts including hubs and impellers for water pumps. Assemblies are shipped to Mexico for additional machining and assembly. Despite the parts being coated with a rust preventive, parts would arrive in Mexico with rust. This required hand sorting and polishing of the rusted parts, which added increased costs and time.

• Competitor’s RP was used to protect the parts, but did not prevent rust from occurring, particularly in the more humid months.
